KACARE

KACARE was established by Royal order A/35 of H.M. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on 17th April 2010 with the fundamental aim of building a sustainable future for Saudi Arabia by developing a substantial alternative energy capacity fully supported by world-class local industries. Saudi Arabia has a rapidly growing population that places ever-increasing pressure on the country’s non-renewable hydrocarbon resources. Therefore, it was concluded that alternative, sustainable and reliable sources of energy for generating power and producing desalinated water should be introduced that will reduce consumption of the nation’s fossil fuel reserves.

Jeddah University

The sustainable solutions consulting house and renewable energy research’s main goal is to identify, develop, and implement sustainable solution technologies to improve the energy efficiency of industries and buildings. Moreover, they conduct research on renewable energy and water treatment. They are working with international institutes and universities.

Industrial Solar Gmbh

In 2008, researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Germany were working on the Fresnel collector. Industrial Solar was founded to commercialize the Fresnel collector optimized for industrial applications. Over the years, they have gathered extensive know-how from different industrial sectors and have realized several international projects.

Solar Spring

in 2009 as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg, Germany, the SolarSpring GmbH, membrane solutions has grown into a world market leader for membrane distillation technology. Our core team of 6 engineers and scientists, most of which have been with the company since “day one”, is entirely committed to water treatment and drinking water production. SolarSpring systems can be found all over the world and are built at our company venue the “Solarhaus” in Freiburg, Germany.

Nomadd

at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology in 2012, NOMADD Desert Solar Solutions strives to represent the Royal Saudi Vision 2030 as well as pushing Desert Solar Technology to new plateaus. A Saudi Arabian local innovation responding to a uniquely regional challenge to keep solar arrays at peak performance whilst not damaging the solar array, in the harshest desert conditions around the planet.
